In attendance: Liz, Kat, Joe, Colleen, Sandy, Becky, Tracey, Alex, John, Andrew, Aidan, Zoe.
First up there will be a final meeting on Sunday January 10th in the church after second service. Please, please, please try to attend.
For teachers class descriptions need to be uploaded to the Yahoo group. In addition all adult helpers must have an updated safety form filled out. Also on the Yahoo group is the schedule for the three days of Hogwarts.
For students, prefects and assistant professors all application need to be postmarked by January 4, 2010. Electronic copies of the application forms are available on the website http://www.kenthogwarts.org
Each house will have a plastic bin containing the various house time activities. A partial list of house time activities is: Legos for pyramid building, Uno game cards, materials for decorating the bins, blankets for beading, books and other activities. Each professor should submit a paper based activity for the house bins, Gina is going to do a word search, Kat is providing a picture to color, Liz is preparing riddles and Joe will be providing jokes.
All professors, helpers, assistant professors that need a name tag need to email Joe (

) their Hogwarts name to ensure that they will have an appropriate name tag prepared for them.
Heads of House for Winter 2010 are:
Gryffindor - Beth & Michelle with Reid as the house helper
Ravenclaw - Justin & Joe with Alex as the house helper
Hufflepuff - Luna with Katelyne as the house helper
Slytherin - Kat & Susan with numerous prefects as house helpers
After this Hogwarts we will be looking into moving the email discussion list and file library off of the Yahoo groups and into a different solution as there have been numerous reports of people not receiving group emails and that the file library is cumbersome and error prone.

Applications have been sent out for Winter 2010 KentHogwarts and are due back postmarked by January 4, 2010. If you need extra copies of the application you can download them from here. The student application is for Kindergarten through age 12. The Prefect application is for ages 13 - 16 and the Assistant Professor is for those aged 16 - 18. The session will take place January 16 - 18, 2010 at the Masonic Temple in Kent, OH. The schedule is Saturday, January 16th Parents drop off students at Kent Masonic Temple (address below) *at* 9:30 AM for classes. Lunch will be provided. Parents promptly pick up students at 3:30 PM at Masonic Temple. Sunday, January17th Drop off at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Kent at 228 Gougler at 12:45 PM for music, classes and games. The Sunday session will end at 3:30 PM. Please eat prior to arriving at Hogwarts as no time for lunch is scheduled. Monday, January 18th Parents drop off students at Kent Masonic Temple (address below) *at* 9:30 AM for classes. Lunch will be provided. Parents promptly pick up students at 3:30 PM at Masonic Temple. |

The winter 2010 session of KentHogwarts will take place January 16 - 18, 2010 at the Masonic Temple in Kent, OH. The theme will be Let Your Light Shine. Student and prefect applications will be sent out shortly. Further details will be posted here soon. |
